Owen’s Light Mothering Project provides financial assistance to our community’s doula support program. This program is available to Huron County families. A doula is a person who is trained to provide information, emotional and physical support to women during childbirth. They provide uninterrupted support to mothers throughout labour and delivery.
Owen’s Light Mothering Project has been operating since early 1996 with the support of a local agency. In 2008, Owen’s Light incorporated as its own non-profit organization and became a registered charity in 2010.
